4-five ingredient smoothies

Smoothie time! If you follow me on Instagram you know that my household loves smoothies. My husband always jokes I should open a smoothie shop because I am always whipping up tasty blends, but in all reality smoothies are so simple and versatile that you can put together just about any combo and its bound to taste good.

These 4 smoothies are some of my easiest and favorite combos. Each of these smoothies is made with five (or less) ingredients. It really does not get any simpler than that!

1 ½ cups Almond Milk

1 tsp honey

Directions for all

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and mix until smooth.

I have been asked in the past if I use sweetened or unsweetened almond milk. Most of the time I mix the two, doing about 1 cup of sweet and ½ cup unsweet. Obviously the sweetened almond milk has more sugar and will make the smoothie sweeter.  If you are looking for the less sugar option I would definitely go with the unsweetened, the smoothie will still be sweet from the sugars in the fruit alone!

Also, I use the large frozen bags from Sam’s club. I usually make a smoothie a day and using fruit from the produce store can be costly. These bags are much more wallet-friendly!

Other easy and nutritious add-ins are chia seeds, flax seeds, and oats.

I hope you give these fast, foolproof, yummy smoothies a try!
